Victor H. Schlosser - Photographer
North Carolina, USA

Hello! My name is Victor and I am a Freelance Photographer, Cinematographer and Public Speaker. I grew up in St. Louis County, MO and have lived the majority of my life in the St. Louis area. I moved to the Raleigh, NC area in August of 2010.

I am a People Photographer. I enjoy working with individuals and families to create images the resonate for them. Happiness, anger, fun, love, hate, professionalism, enthusiasm, or whatever else the subjects wish to portray are all feelings that I try to evoke through my images.

For my personal work I enjoy working on and shooting artsy/creative/conceptual photographs and I am open to all ideas, suggestions and requests. It's all about being creative! I am also willing to work with unique or touchy concepts (as long as they are legal).

I feel that for a photographer to be a success they have to know themselves well. There has to be a yearning to create a particular look or feel in their images. The things that the individual photographer feels passionate about will always bring about the best images. I am a fan of the human form, both female & male, and I believe that this shows in my work.

I also enjoy working with models, both experienced and new, helping to expand their portfolios while updating my own portfolio in the process.
I received my first camera as a gift for my 12th birthday. It was a Kodak Instamatic 104 that used the drop in cartridge film and Flash Cubes. Within just a couple of months we realized that I was a better photographer than my father (who had taken all the family photos up to that point) so all of a sudden I disappeared from the family photos but my brother now had a father.

In 1996 I was asked to speak about my style of glamour photography at a local camera club meeting. This sparked an interest in training and teaching that I have pursued ever since. I now do workshops and seminars in addition to my photography.

In my personal life I like motorcycles. I currently own and ride a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 - which is For Sale. I am active in several ride organizations and enjoy going on group rides.

I enjoy live music. Concerts, local bands at bars, street-corner musicians, it doesn't matter. Actually being present when someone creates music is both a pleasure and a honor. I have attended many concerts over the years, and each was special in its own way.
