Available Light Outdoor Portraiture. Date: TBA
An introduction to location portrait shooting using simple methods and techniques to create dynamic portraits.
Looking to improve your portrait taking abilities? Posing and lighting make all the difference. Direct sunlight, cloudy days, rainy days, open shade, all are usable for portraiture if you know the right lenses and settings to use on your camera. During this class you will also learn 5 simple rules of posing that will take your images from ordinary snapshots to professional looking portraits.

Introduction to your camera. Date: TBA
Do you know what each of the symbols on the dial to the left means and how to use each of those functions? If not, then this might be the class for you.
It doesn't matter what brand or type of camera you own. Knowing what each of those symbols means and how to use them will increase your creativity and shooting abilities more than any new lens or other piece of equipment ever will.
Bring your camera and the owners manual with you to this class. |
| What is the perfect camera for you? There is no one specific answer to this question. The answer will be different for every one of us because we are individuals and our goals for our cameras and the types of photos we want to create are different.
I personally own an 8mp digital point n shoot, a 12mp mid range point n shoot with a 30x zoom and high speed video, a digital SLR (Canon), a Holga (film), and a Twin Lens film camera. I also own a small video camera and a JVC prosumer HD digital video camcorder.
These are the cameras that work for me. Maybe none of them would work for you. Maybe all of them. Only you can make this decision. This class is designed specifically to help you make that decision. |
